Printing labels from Shipping

Below you'll find a tutorial teaching you how to set up and use the Peninsula Thermal Printer Driver to print Fedex shipping
labels directly from the Fedex website to your thermal printer on Mac.

Please note some Fedex supplied printers do not talk the language they tell you they do, if a ZPL driver does not work, please
try an EPL driver instead.

You will only need to complete the following instructions once.

Above is a Youtube video we made to show you how to print shipping labels from Fedex.
Below are step by step instructions that follow the same steps as in the video.

1. Setting up Fedex ship manager to print to your thermal printer

a)

Select the Preferences link from the top of the FedEx Ship Manager® shipping screen.

In the 'Printer and Scale Options' section, click the 'Laser/Inkjet Printer' radio button.

Do Not Choose Thermal Printer, It Will Not Work On A Mac

2. Download the sample label

Please download the sample label using the button below.
(You will need this later to feed to the Thermal Utility to set the page extraction settings in the next step)

Sample Label Download
Please continue to step 3.

3. Setting up your thermal printer for printing from the Fedex website

a)

You should have just clicked the "Next" button.

b)

A window will open underneath this window in the utility.
Drag the PDF file we downloaded earlier onto the window and set the label size to the correct size of your labels.

c)

Drag the image and use the controls at the bottom to correctly position the area you wish to print (the label section) onto the label.

d)

When it is positioned correctly click save, to save the extraction settings.

e)

As this printer is now set up specifically for the UPS website we recommend giving it a different name.

You may install the same printer multiple times with different settings and a different name using the Thermal Utility allowing you
to set the extraction up for different websites and applications and simply choose the printer on the print dialog to print with those settings.
Click next when you are happy with the name.

f)

Click Install printer.

g)

The installation will take a few seconds and then the installation complete message will show. The printer is now installed and you
may close the Thermal Utility.

The setup is now complete simply return to the Fedex website and print your labels selecting the printer
we just installed.
